I visited in the Philippines and met Lauro Crisostomo, who both is the former table tennis women national coach and a former national team member for the Philippines. The atmosphere was very friendly during my visit in the Table Tennis Club in Manila. I had a chance to play with Lauro (his rating is still 2450) and also interview him, particularly about what he thinks of sport psychology and what experience he has with it as a coach and as an athlete.
Surprisingly he has lots of experience. He gave me the following answer:
“I remember when I was first competing in the national championship I bought sport psychology books. I learnt to use visualization, meditation and focusing techniques that I can use during practice and competition. But I did this without a sport psychologist. It was in 1996. “
“Then one of my friends was a sport psychologist and he helped me to prepare for the World Championship in 1998. When I was in the Table Tennis World Championship and other international events I also realized the importance of Sport Psychology. World level players like Waldner and the Chinese players were very focused on the competition. “
“My advice for players and coaches is to consult with sport psychologists and start using, early in their career, the necessary techniques that can help them to reach their full potential ”

I’ve tried everything available for over the counter out there. When I was younger I tried accutaine, which briefly worked for me. I have had cystic acne since I was in high school and I am now 40 years old and still battle it every day. I have taken minocyline twice a day for several years and it keeps the cysts under control, but if missed for only a couple days the cysts become out of control. I shower twice a day with dial soap and have just started tretinoid .05% topical for my face.
